Therapieland leverages technology to offer innovative, cost-effective digital tools, significantly improving mental health support accessibility for patients and healthcare professionals.

Digital Innovation in Mental Healthcare

As one of the Netherlands’ largest e-Health providers since 2012, Therapieland has established itself as a pioneer in digital mental healthcare solutions. With over 70 employees based in Amsterdam, the platform has demonstrated remarkable success in improving healthcare accessibility, with their services currently benefiting thousands of clients through hundreds of healthcare practitioners. A significant milestone in their impact is revealed through their Health Case research, which shows that 80 percent of healthcare institutions recognize e-health as a crucial tool for improving care quality.

Evidence-Based Impact and Effectiveness

The platform’s effectiveness is particularly noteworthy, with research indicating that when more than 50% of professionals actively utilize e-health solutions, quality goals are achieved in 71 percent of cases. Therapieland’s commitment to evidence-based practice is demonstrated through their collaborative approach, working closely with end-users, experts, and experienced professionals to develop their modules. Their latest initiative, launched in January 2025, includes a specialized KOPP program for youth aged 12-16, developed in partnership with psychiatric experts to address parental mental health impacts.

Comprehensive Assessment Tools

Therapieland’s platform includes sophisticated assessment tools, such as the SQ-48 Symptom Questionnaire, which provides comprehensive screening for common psychological complaints. This multidimensional assessment tool, designed for adult users, evaluates various aspects including anxiety, depression, and social phobia, taking approximately 15 minutes to complete. The integration of such standardized assessment tools enhances the platform’s ability to provide targeted support and monitor treatment progress effectively.

User-Centered Development and Future Vision

Recent user research conducted in collaboration with Youngworks has provided valuable insights into improving the platform’s accessibility and effectiveness. This collaborative approach has led to significant improvements in module development, as noted by Dr. prof. Merel van Hoogdalem from Therapieland: ‘These research insights have transformed our team’s approach to developing target group-oriented modules, even leading to adjustments in our working methods’. Looking ahead, Therapieland maintains an ambitious vision of reaching 100 million mentally resilient individuals through their digital solutions.
